I apologize for the delay in posting anything here. It's been a crazy two months.
At the beginning of May, our sweet lab mix Honey stopped eating, which triggered a seemingly endless series of vet visits until we were finally able to determine the culprit. It turned out to be a tumor on the roof of her mouth that has already grown too large for either surgery or radiation.
Then, on June 5, we celebrated one of the happiest events of our lives as our daughter Brooke married the love of her life in the mountains of Arizona, which involved weeks of preparation and an 800-word toast from yours truly.
Ecstatic joy mixed with gut-wrenching sadness. I guess that's life.
But I want you all to know that through it all, my writing hasn't stopped and neither have the kind of writing-related developments that I normally report on here.
Sadly, we'll be putting Honey to sleep this weekend. But next week, I hope to start backfilling this blog with all the news items I didn't get to post as they happened.
Stay tuned...
